New Beginnings believes that the nature of the residential setting plays an important part in improving the well-being of the young people in our care.
Often young people come to us from homes or locations where their needs were not being met adequately, perhaps because of problems resulting from drug or alcohol addiction in the family or abusive family relationships.
So, we work hard to create a warm and homely environment with regular household routines such as getting to school/work/college on time and fixed meal times as well as firm rules about visitors, staying out late, etc. At least one member of staff is present on site at all times.
In line with our desire to create a homely environment, New Beginnings is located in a large residential property in suburban London.
It is designed to provide a feeling of safety and security.
Each resident has their own fully furnished bedroom, including a study desk and chair, and there is a communal living room and kitchen. New Beginnings Support Services Ltd has various residential accommodations ranging from 3-5 bedroom houses that comply with health and safety regulations i.e. gas and electric certificate, smoke detectors, fire exit signs etc.
All of our properties operate a strict no smoking policy
All staff undergo Frist Aid Training.
